About MosqueIndex

MosqueIndex is a simple idea: a fast, clean, fully open-web directory of mosques and masjids, with a page for every mosque and every city. Most mosque finders live inside mobile apps, which means the open web has no good answer when someone searches for a mosque near them. This directory is that answer.

Today it lists 3,100 mosques across all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Each listing carries the address, a map, and daily prayer times calculated for that exact location. We are expanding coverage and detail over time, and community submissions help us keep it accurate.

This directory serves a religious community, so accuracy and respect come first. Listings come from OpenStreetMap and from Google Maps place data, and every record is tagged with which. We calculate prayer times transparently, never guess at Friday-prayer times we cannot verify, and do not publish the star ratings that arrive with the Google-sourced records. The core directory is free, and always will be, for both visitors and mosques. If you spot a mistake or a mosque we are missing, let us know.
